Palazzo Vecchio: a splendid building located in the
famous Piazza della Signoria, now the town of Florence. The few years when
Florence was the capital, addiruttura Palazzo Vecchio was the seat of the
Italian Parliament. Today besides being the Town, is also a major museum full of
works of art by Donatello, by Bronzino, Michelangelo Buonarroti and Giorgio
Vasari.
Palazzo Medici-Riccardi: located in the central Via Cavour,
today is the seat of the province of Florence. In the glorious past of the city
of Florence was the headquarters of the powerful and noble Medici family until
the second half of the sixteenth century. Palazzo Medici-Riccardi is nothing
less than a magnificent masterpiece of Renaissance architecture, particularly
through the Chapel of the Magi by Benozzo Gozzoli.
Palazzo Pitti: the
second half of the sixteenth century, this ancient building was the palace of
Florence when the city was the capital of Italy. Today, Palazzo Pitti houses
inside eight different museums.
Rucellai Palace: Located on Via della
Vigna Nuova, built in the fifteenth century on a project of the artist Leon
Battista Alberti.
Palazzo Strozzi: located in Via Tornabuoni, which is
also beautiful and historic Renaissance masterpiece.
Davanzati Palace:
is located in the central Via Porta Rossa built in the fourteenth century and
restored in the course of the twentieth century by Elia Volpi. Today houses a
rich and important public museum, inside you can also admire splendid
frescoes.
